Children’s Gardening, Event 9th May 2026

An introduction to gardening for the children.

The workshops have a maximum of eight children, each accompanied by an adult. Children should be aged 7 – 12 years old. The aim is to inspire future gardeners, show some basic gardening techniques, give children some plants to take home and grow on. The course is run by Peter and Louisa, whose love of gardening since childhood has been part of creating the garden at Kirklands. One ticket per child, parent/adult do not need a ticket.

The course is one and a half hours long 10.30 -12.00 on a Saturday morning. You are welcome to arrive early and look around or stay after to enjoy the garden. We are here to answer your questions on the day or anytime after by email or message. There is plenty for adults to see while the children are occupied. Refreshments provided.
