DESCRIPTION:A season ticket provides entry to the garden on any open day through the year for the holder plus one friend. You can visit as often as you like and see the garden in all seasons\, bringing a different friend each time (or the same one\, we don’t mind). Season tickets are not valid for the three charity open events. \nHolders can request a one hour tour of the garden with Peter on one of their visits\, this can be outside normal opening times. Please arrange this by email peter@kirklandsgarden.co.uk \nHolders also receive 10% discount on all plant sales. \nAfter purchasing your season ticket on line\, please let us know the date of your first visit and we will have your card available. SUMMARY:Garden Tour Spring bulbs. Sunday 19th April 2026
DESCRIPTION:In April the garden bursts into life with a carpet of spring flowers. Wood anemones\, trilliums\, fritillaries erythroniums and lots more with a backdrop of magnificent rhododendrons. \nStroll around the garden with Peter to see the large clumps of yellow anemone ranunculoides and the hidden treasures of erythronium hendersonii. There are hundreds of trillium grandiflora but you may miss the hidden flowers of trillium rugelei. The tour has a maximum of eight people so you can ask about every individual plant or just enjoy the spectacle. \nThe tour starts at 2.30 and takes about an hour followed by tea\, coffee and home made cakes and a chance to buy some of the treasures you have seen around the garden at 10% discount. \nIf you would like to organise an exclusive tour\, please contact Peter: 07557 094498 or peter@kirklandsgarden.co.uk This can be organised for any date or plant group but please avoid the busiest weekends.

This is advice\, demonstration and practical experience\, hopefully leaving you with the knowledge and enthusiasm to get started at home. One ticket per participant. \nThe course is 2 hours long 6.30 – 8.30 pm on a Wednesday evening. You are welcome to arrive early and look around or stay after to enjoy the garden. We are here to answer your questions on the day or anytime after by email or message. You will take away seed and young plants to get you off to a quick start\, though young plants choices depends on the weather and date of the course.

DESCRIPTION:One of the wonders of nature that inspired me in my gardening life is how a seed grows into a tree; I discover this at 6 or 7 years old and the wonder has never left. Propagating plants has developed in an obsessive compulsive disorder that helps populate the garden. \nIn our plant propagation workshop we hope to stimulate a desire to multiply your stock of garden plants from seed\, cuttings and division. We will dig up things from around the garden\, depending on season\, and pot up for you to take home for your garden. Expect to take home 4 or 5 pots\, so bring a bag. \nThe workshops have a maximum of eight people so you can get practical experience not just a demonstration. \nThe course are 2 hours long 10.30-12.30 on a Saturday or 6.30 to 8.30 on Wednesday evenings. You are welcome to arrive early and look around or stay after to enjoy the garden. Refreshments provided. We are here to answer your questions on the day or anytime after by email or message.
