Garden Tour Candelabra Primulas Saturday 20th June 2026

We have worked hard in recent years to diversify our woodland areas, removing 1,000s of bluebells and replanting them over the stream in the natural woods. We love bluebells, but the plan we to extend and improve the garden area. Our first chosen plant group was the candelabra primula. The moist, partially shaded borders have hundreds of primulas; from the tough self seeding Primula Japonica, the purple Beesiana, the orange Bulleyana to the more delicate Chungensis and Cockburniana, the tallest Pulverulenta and the scented Alpicola.

Stroll around the garden with Peter  and discuss conditions, colour schemes, dividing and raising from seed. The tour has a maximum of eight people so you can ask about every individual plant or just enjoy the spectacle. The talk is not just about primulas but exploring all the wonders of the garden.

The tour starts at 2.30 and takes about an hour followed by tea, coffee and home made cakes and a chance to buy some of the treasures you have seen around the garden at 10% discount.
